This course provides an investigative qualification for the individual seeking entry to be employed as a Private Investigator. Our course will provide you with all the knowledge and skills you will require to conduct a wide range of investigations.
Private Investigators in Queensland operate under Security Providers Act (1993) and licences are issued by the Office of Fair Trading (QLD). It defines eligibility criteria:
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Successful completion of a training course approved by the Office of Fair Trading
- Must be an appropriate person to hold the licence

On successful completion of the Australian Training Academy’s Certificate III in Investigative Services, participants will be provided with a Certificate III in Investigative Services qualification and may apply to the Department of Fair Trading (QLD) for a Class 1 Security Providers Licence (Private Investigator). For students already possessing a Class 1 Security Providers Licence, Private Investigator function may be added to their existing licence on application to the Department of Fair Trading (QLD).
