Self-paced study + classroom training
This course is nationally recognised and provides participants with the skills necessary to be a first aid representative in their workplace and also to assist family and friends in emergency situations.
Provide first aid will equip you with the knowledge and skills required to administer first aid to a casualty who has sustained an injury or illness, until the arrival of professional medical help.
Units Of Competency
HLTAID003 – Provide first aid
HLTAID002 – Provide basic emergency life support
HLTAID001 – Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation
The course consists of a self-paced study component and a classroom training component.
There are no prerequisite study units required for this course. The minimum age for participants is 14 years old.
Upon successful completion of this course, you will attain the nationally recognised Australian qualifications
of HLTAID003 Provide first aid, HLTAID002 Provide basic emergency life support & HLTAID001 Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
On successful completion of this course, participants will be equipped with the skills and knowledge to be able to provide first aid responses and treatment to casualties in the workplace, home or general community.
Government subsidies are available for eligible students to complete their first post-school Certificate III qualification.
